About the Seventh-Day Adventist Church

The Seventh-day Adventist Church started in the 1800’s and now spans the globe, with church members in 215 countries.  The churches’ World headquarters are based in Washington DC, USA, and the global church membership is approximately 19,100,000 with 78,800 congregations meeting every Sabbath (Saturday).

The NZPUC Region of the Adventist Church

NZPUC, one of 132 Regional Administration headquarters, cares for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the countries of New Zealand, New Caledonia, Wallis & Futuna, Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Pitcairn Island.  This territory covers an area of approximately 35,000,000 square kilometres and a population of 4,954,233 people (2011 Statistics).  The NZPUC includes 20,390 church members, 197 congregations, 2,082 students in 20 primary and secondary schools and one aged care facility (2012 Statistics).

A Worldwide Family of Believers

Seventh-day Adventists can truly be regarded as a worldwide family of Christian believers. The Adventist presence manifests itself in nearly every country of the globe. Administratively, the church is served through its 13 regional areas of the world. No matter where you find a Seventh-day Adventist believer, you will find them to adhere to the ideals described by the Bible and their lives illustrating both faith in God and the church’s commitment to the betterment of all human beings.
